A Beautiful End-of-Summer Tablescape in Honor of Mom
Posted by KP BY DESIGNS LLC Admin on
August is almost at an end, and I can't believe we are getting so close to the fall season. Before we say goodbye to summer, I would like to share a few things that I have been enjoying this season.
As you may already know, I love creating tablescapes. It is something that truly brings me joy by pairing colors and textures and incorporating beautiful florals into the mix. There is something special about taking individual pieces and bringing them together to create a beautiful setting.
This particular tablescape is especially meaningful to me because it is in honor of my Mom. The colors I chose for this table include shades of pink and rose, along with mint green and cream, with cream pearls used as a beautiful accent throughout the setting.
I started with a beige linen tablecloth (Amazon) and added a 70-inch round floral overlay (HomeSense) to anchor all of the colors I planned to use on the table. From there, I began layering each place setting.

I used white washed wooden chargers (Pier 1) as the foundation, followed by pink dinner plates trimmed in gold (HomeSense). To add even more color and detail, I paired them with pink floral salad plates and saucers (a wedding gift), also trimmed in gold.
For the napkins, I chose beige linen napkins trimmed with gold and cream pearls (Pier 1). These details were especially meaningful because cream and gold were two of my Mom's favorite colors, and incorporating them into this tablescape became my way of remembering and honoring her.
To bring additional color and softness to the table, I added a rose table runner (Amazon). I also incorporated a pair of clear glass candle holders (HomeGoods) with pink candles (Hobby Lobby), adding greenery (Hobby Lobby) to create more texture and dimension. A pink peony floral arrangement (Michaels) was the finishing touch that helped bring all of the colors and elements together.

Last but certainly not least, I added pink glassware (Hobby Lobby) to complete the setting. All of these layers, colors, textures, and special details came together to create a beautiful summer tablescape that I know my Mom would have loved—and I hope you love it as well.

As summer slowly comes to an end, I hope we can all take a moment to enjoy the remaining warm days and reflect on the memories this season has given us. For me, this table is not only a celebration of summer, but also a reminder of someone I love and the beautiful memories that remain close to my heart.
Here is to these final days of summer, beautiful memories, and creating spaces that bring us joy.
Enjoy the rest of your summer, and until next time...
Love Always,
Karen
